Ball Bearing Spring Washers
Ball bearing disc springs or ball bearing washers are designed for use with radial ball bearings as a retaining spring and are used to reduce vibration and shaft deflection. When used effectively, these disc springs reduce running noise and minimize excessive wear.

CUSTOM MANUFACTURING
Custom Ball Bearing Spring Washers
Our facilities routinely produce and stock BB and AK series ball bearing spring washers; however, MW specializes in custom manufacturing of all types. With 30 facilities worldwide and access to a variety of standard and specialized materials, we are happy to work with your team to produce a custom part for your specific needs.
Ball Bearing Disc Spring Manufacturing
The BB and AK series disc spring are generally produced within our facilities using stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness testing score of C40-51. However, MW specializes in custom manufacturing, meaning that if your application requires specialty materials, finishes, or additional processes, we are happy to accommodate your needs.
Characteristics
These washers are designed as preloading springs for use with radial ball bearings and help to maintain positioning accuracy of the bearing while minimizing vibration and shaft deflection.
Tolerances
Load: ± 20% at .75h
Disc Spring Configurations
BB Series
BB (Ball Bearing) Series Disc Springs are specially designed as preloading springs for use with radial ball bearings. These disc springs help to maintain positioning accuracy of the bearing with no endplay. They also minimize vibration and shaft deflection. Proper preloading will increase bearing rigidity and eliminate excessive running noise.
AK Series
AK (Ball Bearing) Series Disc Springs are specially designed as preloading springs for use with radial ball bearings. These disc springs help to maintain positioning accuracy of the bearing with no endplay. They also minimize vibration and shaft deflection. Proper preloading will increase bearing rigidity and eliminate excessive running noise.
