Spacers
Spacers are unthreaded tube-like structures which are primarily used to separate assemblies from their housing or each other. Spacers are used for applications where tight tolerances are needed, like PCB mounting. In such applications, spacers allow for increased airflow and prevent potential electrical shortages by keeping components from touching one another. Since spacers are unthreaded, they’re usually paired with a bolt that passes through the spacer to fasten adjacent components.
Spacer styles available in our online store include self-locating, self-retaining stacking snap-in (including nylon), flat face no shank, front-mount, swage smooth shank standard, full knurl swage mount, and partial knurl swage mount. Metric is available for some styles.

Spacer Manufacturing
Our spacers are available in both standard and metric dimensions in round and hexagonal variations. We offer standard spaces which range in lengths from 3/32” to 2” with diameters from 1.8” to 1-1/2” with clearance holes anywhere from 0.064” to 1”.
In addition to standard configurations and sizes, we also carry swage spacers which will accommodate circuit boards and come in thicknesses ranging from 1/32” to ¼”.

- Lengths 4” to 6”: between +/-.005 and +/-.008 (depending on facility)
- Lengths over 6″: +/-.010
- Lengths up to and including 100 mm: +/-.13 mm
- Lengths from 100 mm to 150 mm: +/-.20 mm
- Lengths over 150 mm: +/-.25 mm
Tolerances for the outside diameters are +/-.005 in. (+/-.152 mm)
