MW Components is a global manufacturer of cold-headed pins and other cold-headed fasteners. Cold-headed or cold-formed pins are used as terminal pins, connector pins, and other PCB (printed circuit board) pin components where strength, precision shape, and smooth surface finishes are required. These qualities ensure a proper automatic connection with a high mean-time-between-failure rate and serve applications that require disconnection and reconnection multiple times for service or maintenance.
Our cold-formed pins are notable due to our unique ability to form a very large head on a small shank, thereby replacing a more expensive and less precise alternative, i.e., brazing two components together, as in electronic pins. The concentricity of these parts is quite nearly perfect.
Our pins are manufactured using a wide variety of materials that are cold-formed while maintaining contact integrity, incorporating oxygen-free copper alloys, copper-core alloys, copper-clad steels, stainless and low expansion alloys for hermetic seal applications, and others.
