MW Components is a licensed and certified manufacturer of both stock and custom API 20E fasteners including API 20E BSL 1-3 studs, API B7 studs, and 2H nuts. API 20E certification specifies particular requirements for the production and documentation of bolting components rated for use in the oil and gas industry. The standard associated with API 20E allows for three bolting specification levels (BSL). These are identified as BSL 1-3. MW Components can manufacture all three levels as required by the specification.
Our API BSL 1-3 threaded studs are manufactured in the US and as per API standards, these components are fully traceable to the source mill.

Custom API Certified Fasteners
MW Components produces custom fasteners including API 20E BSL 1, 2, and 3. These components are produced using either carbon steel or alloy steel and may be coated. MW Components offers various stud and nut configurations and sizes, and offers multiple plating and coating options including PTFE. We typically machine ODs between 0.5" and 8", roll threads from 0.5" to 1.5" and cut threads between 0.25" to 4".

API bolting components are required to adhere to very precise standards to achieve API certification and to ensure premium quality in the harsh environments necessary for the oil and gas industry. MW Components adheres to BSL1, BSL2, and BSL3 requirements necessary for API 20E fasteners, including requirements for heat treatments, hardness, and coatings.
API 20E certified studs and nuts are produced using carbon steel or alloy steel; however, if you require a stud, bolt, or coordinating nut from an alternate material, contact us for custom quote information.
