Variable Force Springs
Similar to Constant Force Springs, Variable Force Springs are used most often in POP (point-of-purchase) retail displays along with slide trays that push the product to the front of the machine for easy customer access. Variable Force Springs differs from Constant Force Springs in the amount of force they can produce.

Characteristics
Variable Force Springs are recommended for applications where a stronger force is initially required to move the product. As the product is removed, the variable force spring automatically adjusts to the lighter load, which provides smooth product transition. Like the Constant Force Springs, they are also economical, easy to assemble, and use little space.

Most Variable Force Springs are made from Stainless Steel; however, if your specific application requires a specialty metal or a finish that is not listed here, we are happy to customize a product for you.
