About Pontotoc Spring

Pontotoc Spring is an expert manufacturer of hot and cold coiled springs and metal stampings. We offer hundreds of OEM replacement car springs and over 400 quality metal stamping parts in a wide variety of styles.

The majority of the hot wound springs produced at Pontotoc Spring are suspension springs. Our suspension springs are found in a variety of vehicles. We produce anything from OEM parts for passenger cars to precision suspension springs for motorsports and racing.

Our facility also produces a variety of metal stampings for various automotive applications. Our metal stamping components are custom-made to your unique specifications.

Pontotoc Spring's products are known for performance. Whether you need a suspension spring for a performance off-road vehicle, an agricultural tractor, or a chassis stamping, we manufacture and ship on the highest quality springs and stampings.

Our Manufacturing Services

  • MW Components offers prototypes or sample parts for a variety of custom components including springs, fasteners, bellows, couplings, and other precision metal parts. We also offer rapid prototyping for select components, with shipping in as little as one week.

  • CNC machining is a manufacturing process where computer software is used to control complex tools or machinery without the need for manual operations. Some examples of CNC machining services we offer include milling, turning, micromachining, metal stamping and forming (including fourslide technology), and wire forming and wire rolling.

  • Spring coiling can be achieved through either hot winding or cold winding. MW Components performs both processes and can make recommendations for the process that is right for you based on the size and specific application of the spring product required.

  • MW facilities use several methods to stamp or form sheet or strip metal into a desired shape. Some examples include stamping and fourslide. Stamping uses a die and applied force to create a product, where fourslide uses multi-slide technology to bend and manipulate metal into a desired form.

  • We perform precision sharpening and CNC grinding services including electrochemical grinding in the production or finishing phase as needed for your intended application.

  • Coating is used most often to resist environmental factors like corrosion or embrittlement.

  • Outside of hardening and tempering, we offer a variety of other heat treatment options either in-house or through outside services to ensure your desired ranges are reached for cycle-life, toughness, and resistance to environmental forces.

  • Shot Peening

    Shot peening refers to a process used to create a stress layer on metal parts to increase durability. In this process, small round materials or shot are used to repeatedly strike the surface of the part to increase hardness and strength. Shot can be composed of anything from ceramic or glass to metal.

  • Do you need specialized packaging? We work with your teams to determine the best way to build and package your products to ensure efficient assembly with your existing components.

  • Cycle Testing

    Cycle testing, or life cycle testing is a process where products are tested to ensure adequate life cycle or product lifetime under regular working conditions.

  • Mag Particle / Magnafluxing

    This is an NDT process where a magnetic field is added directly or indirectly to the component and used to test certain metals like nickel, cobalt, iron, and their alloys for shallow surface inconsistencies.
