Worldwide.

Worldwide MidWest Components has extensive export/import experience and welcomes inquiries from anywhere on the planet. This page describes the basic flow of an order for customers outside the United States. Our process is based on our experiences in serving customers worldwide.

Requesting a Quote

You can send us a Request for Quotation (RFQ) from our RFQ page via the Internet, or go directly to our Search page to check availability first. Additionally, you can contact us via telephone, fax or email (see our Contact page).

Part numbers should be as complete as possible to ensure that we locate the correct parts for you. RFQs should also specify the quantity required and any other special requirements. It's also helpful if you can provide a target price. The price we quote will be the best price possible based on our costs, but a target price from you will help us to negotiate a better price from our suppliers and determine whether we can realistically provide product in your price range.

Our Quote

We will respond with a quote that matches the requirements in your RFQ as closely as possible. For difficult to obtain components, we may quote a smaller quantity depending on availability. We will also note the exact part number we are offering to supply and an estimated lead time for delivery. Our quote will include all related charges, such as freight costs.

Your Purchase Order

If you find our quotation acceptable, we will ask for a faxed or emailed purchase order. The purchase order should specify the exact part number, quantity ordered, and unit price. It should include your bill to and ship to addresses. For international orders, our carriers require a local telephone number and the name of a contact as well. See the "Shipping" section below for shipping information.

Our Pro Forma Invoice

We respond to your purchase order with a pro forma invoice which includes all costs to execute the order per your instructions. The pro forma will also list shipping charges, insurance costs and any bank fees. See the next section in regard to payment, and the Shipping section for shipping information.

Payment

Our normal terms for international orders are wire transfer (TT) in USD ($) in advance of shipment. Other arrangements (prepayment by check via courier or postal mail, Western Union transfer or credit terms) may be possible. Because of the frequency of credit card fraud, we do not accept credit cards for either domestic or international orders.

Shipping

Upon receipt of payment, or as soon as possible thereafter we will ship your order. We use only UPS or Federal Express (FedEx) air freight shipment for all domestic and international shipments. Shipments by post, while cheaper, have proven too slow and unreliable, and other freight carriers do not provide acceptable service in our area.

Our shipment terms are normally "Ex Works, Chelan, WA USA".

We add the cost of freight and insurance on the pro forma invoice. If you wish us to bill freight to you through UPS or Federal Express (FedEx), please indicate that on your purchase order and provide your account number. We generally insist that all international shipments be insured with the carrier; insurance costs are nominal compared to parts costs or freight charges. If you have your own insurance, please note this on your purchase order.

Duties, taxes and other costs imposed in your country are not included in our prices and are paid by you.

Shipping documents will contain correct descriptions, quantities and prices of all goods shipped as required by US law. We are required to conform to US export regulations in all cases.
